Why Natural Products Often Have Longer Labels

Do You Understand What's on the Ingredient List? Here’s Why Natural Products Often Have Longer Labels:

Deciphering skincare ingredient lists can be a challenge, especially with natural and organic products. We’re often asked why our organic products have longer ingredient lists compared to those containing synthetic ingredients – and we understand why it might seem confusing! Here are a few reasons why a longer ingredient list can be a positive thing:

1. Packed with Active Ingredients

Our products are filled with powerful, natural ingredients that actively support skin health and wellness. When you choose a product from us, you often get a combination of up to seven active ingredients that work together to enhance your skin on multiple levels. These natural components are far more than just fillers – they’re carefully selected to make a real difference for you and your skin.

2. Natural Preservation without Synthetic Additives

To ensure product longevity, we use a self-preserving system based on three natural ingredients (salts from basil, anise, and star anise) rather than synthetic preservatives. This system keeps our products fresh without introducing synthetic additives. We list these three natural ingredients separately, which makes the ingredient list longer but also provides you with greater clarity.

3. Natural Fragrances and Full Transparency

We use only natural oils to give our products a mild, pleasant scent. Additionally, we are completely transparent about every single ingredient we include. Synthetic fragrances are often listed simply as “fragrance,” without further detail. With us, however, you’ll know exactly which natural ingredients contribute to the scent, making the list longer but also more transparent.

We hope this insight makes our products a little easier to understand and helps you make informed choices. For us, sourcing as locally as possible for our Swedish production is essential. This close-to-home approach allows us to ensure quality, sustainability, and transparency at every step of the process.
